I used to go to this place all the time but haven’t been for a while, my wife and I happen to be over in the area so we stopped in. My wife got the broccoli and cheese omelette and I got the Mexican, which was phenomenal! Definitely worth the return trip.
For those of you that have read my prior reviews, I'm not one to trash places. And for those at Little Egg, I'm not trashing you. I'll definitely be back. Had this been my first visit, I'm not sure there would be a second meal. Review aside, the server was excellent as she has been in the past. I've been here several times before, and always got the chicken parm. I stayed with the same. For some reason, the marinara sauce, or gravy to you South Philly Italians, and I use that quite fondly, was watery. Guessing the angel hair wasn't drained enough, and it definitely impacted on the flavor. The lobster bisque. That was the coup d'etat of the night. It was a $2 upcharge, but the waitress said everybody seems to like it. It was delivered, good color, hot, which in a diner is a very good start! It had a nice flavor, but there was not one chunk of anything. Not a vegetable, not a piece of lobster. Nothing it was a flavored milk and flour concoction. The waitress asked what I thought of it and I told her well there was no Lobster which was disappointing. She was receptive and said she would have to talk to the kitchen. I wasn't expecting any feedback and I didn't receive any which was fine. When I was paying the bill, the cashier asked how everything was. I told her everything was good except for the fact that the lobster bisque disappointingly didn't have any Lobster in it. She said, and I quote, we don't put Lobster in it. I said you don't use Lobster in your Lobster bisque, and she said no. Wasn't much more I could say about it. Had there not be in the $2 upcharge, it wouldn't have bother me as much. So, buyer beware!
A popular place, especially for breakfast! VERY reasonable prices. The food is good, with generous portions. What makes them really good is the service. The staff was all over us, making sure we were taken care of. We had dinner, but breakfast looked amazing. Will go again.
Only had breakfasts here, been 3xs. Each time I was seated right away, even when busy. Food comes right out, consistently good. Friendly service. Dessert was fantastic, I had pumpkin cheesecake with streussel topping. Hot chocolate with whipped cream was very good! I like how you can have either home fries (the square ones) OR hash browns (patties). I choose the patties and they're crisp and delicious. I order well done bacon and it's also perfectly crisp without being fatty or greasy. This place is a neighborhood GEM! 💎
The Crab cake Eggs Benedict was a nice surprise to see on the Breakfast Specials menu. Delicious and the eggs were poached to perfection!
Stopped in at the Little Egg Diner for breakfast and enjoyed it. Breakfast omelet was nice and big and the serving of home fries was generous. I'm a big eater and I left full. Coffee was good, and the coffee cups were nice and large. Fruit in the fruit cup was fresh and tasty, possibly locally grown. Waitress was attentive and friendly, and food came out very promptly after ordering. We will definitely return to the Little Egg Diner.
The nicest people and really good food in a nice diner. We’ve been having lots of eggs lately, and the Little Egg Diner in Little Egg Harbor fit the bill! The food was fresh and delicious. Really good coffee. Our servers was friendly and attentive and made sure we’ve enjoyed ourselves. Debbie, was so kind and went out of her way to get us one of their fun t-shirts. We will return! The diner is accessible ♿️, with lots of space between tables. Large, super clean bathrooms. Plenty of onsite parking.
I’ve been here a few times and recently gotten take out. My mom got a bacon egg and cheese and added tomatoes while I got some pancakes. They’re always so nice and the food is always good. My mom really enjoyed her sandwich and the pancakes were fluffy, a little sweet, and they gave a generous amount of bacon with them. It’s a great experience altogether.
